Chris Madden and The Lucky Ducks 2

A purveyor of authenticity, Chris Madden seeks to deliver a sense of musical integrity in any live setting. Whether it is in small pubs, clubs or festivals, Chris aims to draw in the audience with a mixture of musical ingenuity and a workmanlike approach to showmanship.

Known for lengthy and energetic performances with his unique blend of alt-country and rock ‘n’ roll, Chris has toured constantly both as a solo act and with a band. He has performed everywhere from pubs and clubs to 500 seater venues as well as on radio and has accumulated 300 two or three hour shows in just over three years. ‘The Lucky Ducks’ are Chris's live band and consist of Ringsend vocalist and percussionist Áine Harkin and Derry City native, Connor Kearney on lead guitar.

Chris’ debut EP, ‘Crazy Bars & Fast Cars’ was released in March 2015 to acclaim from press outlets such as Maverick Magazine (hailing Chris’ versatility as an artist) and the title track being featured in BBC NI's program, ‘Love In A Day’. Downtown Radio drew particular attention to the EP’s "amazing" second single, ‘Danced In The Dirt’ and the accompanying video managed to debut at number 4 in the CM&T international monthly music chart.

This release was followed by another single in 2017 which as well as becoming a live staple drew more acclaim from local press such as ‘Chordblossom’ and ‘Gigging NI’, in particular praising his fresh perspective and willingness to stick to his own brand of country rock. More new music and touring is expected from Chris this year and we look forward to welcoming him and his band for their performance on the main stage.
