Idyllic Dolls

'Idyllic dolls' are an acoustic duo consisting of two local girls, Hannah McCauley and Una McGill whose keen interest in music was evident from a young age. They have been playing gigs together for over a year now and their repertoire spans the genres of folk, modern and Irish Traditional music. They have developed experience in song-writing and performing from playing in bars, competitions and festivals such as the Earhart Festival; An Culturlann Folk Event; Scór and the Fleadh Cheoil.

Hannah and Una have both taken their music to a degree level. Hannah is studying Music with Teaching at St Mary's Teaching College in Belfast and plays the fiddle, guitar and cajon and also provides backing vocals in the band. She was recently announced as an All-Ireland Scór Sinsear champion as part of the Wolfe Tones Bellaghy instrumental group. Una is a final year music student at University Of Ulster Magee campus in Derry. She sings, plays the guitar and tin-whistle. She is a member of the University of Ulster Choir and has sung along with "Rumours of Fleetwood Mac at the Odyssey.‘Idyllic Dolls' are currently in the process of recording their first CD and hope to release it before the end of the year.
