Roisin McCloskey

We are delighted to welcome back Roisin McCloskey, the reigning "Young Musician of the Bann”.Roisin started playing the tin whistle at the age of seven and quickly developed a love and passion for the instrument. She is an All Ireland champion and has achieved success at both county and provincial levels on tin whistle, flute, fife, fiddle and uilleann pipes. Since winning the title last year Roisin has played at many charity events and is presently working on compiling a CD.She has also recently gained her London College of Music Diploma on whistle and is continuing to study Grade 8 on flute, pipes, speech and drama and Grade 9 Irish dancing. Roisin is still only 17 years old and is presently studying for her AS levels, including music. She hopes to continue studying music and combine it with her love of travelling.Roisin is looking forward to her gig at the festival this year.
