Ciaran O'Kane
Ciaran O’Kane grew up in Cushendun in the glens of Antrim. His parents play music and sing and so he became involved in the local music and singing sessions. Ciaran enjoyed singing from an early age and became known for his unique singing style. His music, although traditional in many ways, has some more contemporary influences, resulting in his own particular style. His debut album ‘Round & Round’ was released this year and was subsequently made album of the month by Lynette Fay on the BBC Radio Ulster show ‘Folk Club’. Ciaran is also an accomplished accordion and bouzouki player and has been a regular at the traditional music sessions at the festival over the years. Joining Ciaran on the evening will be Gary Graham (Guitar), Eamon Graham (Cahon and Bodhrán), Michael McKinney (Double Bass) and Declan McCartan (Cello). We are really excited to welcome this hugely talented group of musicians to the main stage at the festival.
