Northbound

Gabrielle (20) and Catherine (18) are two sisters from Portglenone who embellish their haunting harmonies into popular songs and make them their own acoustic versions. Growing up in a musical family, Catherine started teaching herself guitar at the age of eleven and both girls have been singing all their lives, entering competitions from as young as seven years old.

They have previously performed on TG4 and as well as participating in competitions they also enjoy singing at weddings, social events and perform small gigs all over Ireland. Collectively known as ‘Northbound’ they are the official winners of the 2016 Draperstown Busking Festival and are the second band to have earned a well-deserved place on the main stage after their success at the Gig’n the Bann 2016 busking competition. ‘Northbound’ hope to stretch their music careers further in the future.
