PJ McDonald and Bríd Harper
PJ McDonald made his name as a tin whistle player, learning from his late father, Hugh Pat McDonald, and from the many talented musicians around his native village of Donaghmore. He and has won admirers across Ireland and further afield for his dexterity and understanding of the instrument. PJ is now as well known for his superb traditional singing and guitar playing.
Bríd Harper is highly respected both as a performer and as a teacher, and many of Ireland’s traditional musicians cite her as having been a major influence. Originally from Castlefin in County Donegal, Bríd now lives in Tyrone. Bríd was senior All – Ireland champion and Fiddler of Dooney winner in 1998.
