Portglenone CCE 2
Portglenone CCE Junior Trad Group have been meeting in the Wild Duck every Wednesday evening since last October, after the enrolment to the CCE classes in St Mary's Primary School. Since then they have played at various functions including a Christmas Concertfor the residents ofthe Fold in Portglenone andalso at the St. Patrick's Day concert in Clady.
More recently they have competed in the Antrim Fleadh in Ballycastle and will play on the Gig Rig at the Ulster Fleadh in Castlewellan. All this has happened within 10 months of them coming together and even more astounding is the fact that many of the group only started playing their instrument last September. They are now playing in front of packed halls, in concerts and on Gig Rigs and performing in front of well known adjudicators.
The group are under the direction of Kieran Convery and Harry O'Neill with assistance from Robert Close and Monica Maguire.
